Re: A Dream Fulfilled - MY 904FF
Graham, At the present time, I have entered for all the Shelsleys and Blyton in May. We shall see how the year develops and it will depend on how the car is going and how I stand up as to whether I enter any more. I shall not be going north this year as Bo'ness is not taking place.

Re: A Dream Fulfilled - MY 904FF
When competing in the 4 Cyl, I had ran into some problems with certain scrutineers who were not exactly thrilled by the battery being in the front under the fuel tank! It had been placed there to try and even up the weights front to rear and compensate for the lump in the back. I decided to buy a Va...

Re: A Dream Fulfilled - MY 904FF
When the car was up on the rotator, the opportunity was taken to revise the "bum" tray which gave a lower seating position which meant that I could sit without my crash hat touching the roof. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51062725696_f57f2edca3_b.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/655...

Re: A Dream Fulfilled - MY 904FF
As I mentioned earlier Nigel James had supplied a fan housing and fan so all that was now needed in that area was an alternator. A 55A one was obtained from Andys Autoparts in Oldham for a very reasonable amount. I see on ebay that they are exactly the same price as they were 3 years ago! I had deci...

Re: A Dream Fulfilled - MY 904FF
Looking back over my posts on the 904FF, I was saying in late 2017 that we were at the stage of changing the 914 4cyl engine for a 911 6cyl and the problems we had already ran into with the dummy engine that Mike Bainbridge had loaned us. The realisation that we (Andy Lockwood, George Laycocock and ...

Re: A Dream Fulfilled - MY 904FF
Hopefully having sorted out how to post photographs, I will revert to the story of the 904FF. As I said in 2018 I was looking for a fan housing and fan and on this very day three years ago, Nigel James got in touch and sent the following photographs. It was exactly three years ago to the day as the ...

Re: 1972 Honda CB175 Super Sport restoration
Graham, I have just come across your rebuild topic as for some reason I had not been on DDK for a couple of years. My last project to do is my Honda CB175 RTG516M which I have had from new in 1974. It was provided by my employer and replaced my company car in the midst of the petrol rationing situat...

Re: A Dream Fulfilled - MY 904FF
That seems to have worked in spite of me. Now that I appear to be able to post pictures I will contine the story in due course.

Re: A Dream Fulfilled - MY 904FF
A number of people have suggested that it might be of interest to continue the saga of the 904FF, so I wiil attempt to let you all know what has been happening since early 2018 when we were searching for a fan housing and fan. Firstly I have to find out how to upload photos from Flikr. Bear with me ...

356SC Project
I have finally realised that I shall never have the time to restore my LHD 356SC coupe which I bought from the original owner when I lived in the USA. The car has been dismantled and the body shell blasted to reveal previous body repairs. All the parts are now in boxes in my garage. The engine was r...

Re: FIA in date seat
Brendan,
I shall be there but without the 904FF. However, I have been offered Chapman Mercury One which will mean a trundle up the hill behind a big flathead V8! How good is that! Looking forward to seeing you all once more

FIA in date seat
Having modified my 904FF to the extent that it will not compete again this year I have been kindly offered his 911 by David Strange to compete at the hillclimb at Etretat in France on 25/26 August. The problem is that the event is run under FIA rules. This means the seat must be in date with an FIA ...
