Thought as much, worth a shot anyway

My indicator flashy things on the dash are always on ever since I had the car (912e). They do blink when in use but remain on when not, the indicators themselves work fine. Is this normal? or would it be a simple case of chaning the relay? anyone had this before?

I just used some clear plastic sheet from the local builders supply, think B&Q does reels that you can cut off what you need, cost a couple of quid, stuck it on with Evo Stick, then trimmed around the door with a knife, then cut slots for the window winder, door latch, etc. All done! no messing ...

Don't really know 356's but have you changed the coupling that's under the hatch under the rear seat easy DIY? I'm assuming its pretty much the same setup Beetles and early 911s etc. If you take your time there shouldn't be anything troublesome about removing and checking the gearstick.
