2.2 doesn't have piston squirters either (or some did and some didn't). Does the 66mm crank rev up much faster? The stock 914-6 only had a 2.0T with a 'weedy' 110hp but personally given the choice I'd have this over the 2.0 4cyl. I think having a six in is so much more than just going faster. Maybe ...

If you want to keep it narrow bodied and not make massive mods to the brakes and gearbox etc then why not get one of the smaller engines (2.0-2.4) I have a 2.4T and I think it suits the car pretty well, nice and tractable with plenty of torque. After reading about the 'new' 356 in Auto Express -a mid-engined turbo/supercharged flat 4 replacing the Boxster as the entry level Porsche in 2012, I saw this the new 928...I like it

Yes...it's dead easy to stick a six in it. :) If the 1.7 is very nice then I would buy this as condition is everything. You can very easily add 96mm barrels + pistons (re-bored 94mm 2.0 barrels) to get 1911 cc. Or you could add a 71mm crank and the correct barrels + pistons for 2.0. You won't have t...

Your engineers can't be that bad? :lol: I had mine done by a local engineer. It's very simple (no spot facing like the stubs) for anyone will a mill.
