Hi Darren,
welcome to the forum.
Getting a car from a known member is a different story.
I am pretty sure you will enjoy it, with the extra that you know that the car has been well cared.
All the best,
Dennes

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?
Hi all,
I opened the Odometer, since it was in really bad shape.
I cleaned and repainted it and I am in the process of plating the case, so I can finally call it a day.

Re: RHD Wing Mirror Tenplate
Ok great news. Sorry I couldn’t look at the car it not with me. Thanks mate Hi Leedurrant73, If I understood correctly, do you need to know exactly where the holes are located on the door? So if you have a RHD, it means that it will be the measurements for my LHD. (Take it with a bit of salt, since...

Re: Hi from Iberian Peninsula
Hi Dennes, welcome. Sounds like an interesting car you have there. Any other internal features like a dead pedal or seat belt mounts, roll bar evidence.? Dave Hi Dave, Thank you! It is interesting, but I don't think is that special. According to the COA, it is a matching number car with comfort int...

Re: Hi from Iberian Peninsula
Is there any open post about this vehicle? It looks interesting and I don't think I've seen it on the national forums! It would be interesting if you restore it to open one in "the national forum......" Hi Baudett, thank you for your message. I did not open a post yet, since the progress ...

Re: Your Porsche pic of the day......
Oh go on …..how much ,with or without number? The cost without number will be X, with number will be X^2. What I heard from a Porsche person that I know, is that you have to apply through website and form. Then a Porsche Historian will enter in contact with you, in order to gather more information ...

Re: Check your pipes
Is that the pipe from the fuel tank to the fuel pump? What ethanol tolerant replacement have you used? Hi Markm, I believe that any fuel hose that is FKM/NBR and meets the SAEJ30R9 standards while withstanding E5 and E10 grades of bio-ethanol petrol formulations will do the job. I was wondering whi...

Hi Andy,Lightweight_911 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 03, 2023 2:52 pm .
The shorter one is probably from a 915 gearbox - from memory, the shift rod from a 901/911 'dog leg' transmission is ~ 15mm longer.
.
Thank you for your insight. I learned a new thing today.
Yes, after measuring it, it is roughly 15mm longer.
Best,
Dennes

Re: Hi from Iberian Peninsula
I would think that the second fuel pump was a back up in case of failure of the primary pump. I have used a two pump system on a competition car; one to fill a swirl pot holding a litre of fuel to prevent starvation, and the other standard pump to the engine, after the swirl pot. Sounds like an int...

Differences in Shift Rod length
Hello All, I am wondering what is this difference on the Gear shift Rod, and what transmission or chassis it belongs. Screenshot 2023-03-03 at 13.40.19.jpg The longer one belongs to 1970 car. The shorter one belongs to which model year or transmission type? Does anyone knows? Thank you. Best, Dennes

Re: Hi from Iberian Peninsula
You’re welcome Dennes. So have you gone narrow body again? I can’t see those rear arches in the pic…. Looks like you are making great progress Cheers Wayne Thanks. Yes, I was planning to go back to the narrow body. Since for me is more beautiful as a Albert Blue with Beige interior (original). Howe...
