Re: Exhaust Help

Yes soundproofing under headliner, carpets, all round the rear tub and sound deadening/heat proofing in the engine bay. Just built a 2.4 on carbs to go in it so will be interesting to see the noise levels with that. Might have to get it cut open and rebaffled.

Re: Pre order the 2024 DDK Wall / Desktop 20th Annivesary Calendar here

Sent money over before I saw your post to say sold out. Let me know if any are available, be a shame to miss out as my 911’s going to be in it.

Re: Exhaust Help

Thanks Bootsy,
Might just have to live with it. An hour to Flat6 at the weekend was ok with ear plugs. Will sort through the photos and try and make some time to put something together.
Just had a photo shoot for Classic Porsche so need to get the info together.

Re: Exhaust Help

Hi James,

The original box had been modified to twin outlet and I’m not sure it had any internals at all. The Dansk one is better, some noise will be induction as it’s got K&N filters but ….

Exhaust Help

Having recently finished my build and started using it the original exhaust was unbearable. So swapped it out for a Dansk twin centre outlet back box, it’s better but still 87db inside the car. Which considering the amount of sound proofing fitted is still loud on a long journey, so started wearing ...

Re: Tuning

I have used Airey Tuning in Cheriton twice before and also Wrightune (although they are near Oxford). Tom Airey is a character to say the least but I've been pleased with the results both times and no problems at Wrightune either. Thanks Mark, Tom was my first choice but he’s only just out of hospi...

Tuning

Just got my 911 project completed and on the road, but it definitely needs the carbs setting up. Any recommendations in the Hampshire/Berkshire/Wiltshire area. I am in Winchester, but don’t mint travelling. Thanks Paul

They look like 69-71 according to the 911/912 restores guide but it may be wrong…
