Re: Door panel clips

Thanks Andy, I must admit that a trawl around local car accessory shops end up with me cutting down panel clips not very successfully!! Do you know any mail order trimmers that can provide a suitable bit. I'm close to Moss (BMC stuff) but they only do parts by car make!! Thanks again. Maybe give Rog...

Door panel clips

Hi,
Does anyone have the PET part number for the plastic clips that hold the door panels to the door? I can't see them on my PET list. Are they still available anywhere?
Many thanks

Terrible. I'm on the look out. Hopefully, we can, quickly, have thousands of eyes doing the same.

Speaker recommendations

Hi , can anyone recommend some good door speakers please? The hole size is approx 16cm/6.5 inches. I've fitted a RetroSound radio which specifies 4 x 50w or 100w x 4 max with internal power amp. The speakers are fitted into the door behind the front door pocket so sound is partly blocked. Should i a...

Door re- skin

Hi, I'm in the process of re- skinning the drivers side door with an original Porsche skin. I was never satisfied with the after market skin that I had fitted. I recall the coach work guys cursing it as they had to do a lot of work just to get it to fit! Anyway the new Porsche skin fits well and so ...

Thanks Barry, I've located the old bushes on a spare door and tapped out the old bushes. I've ordered new pins and bushes for my door together with an OEM porsche door skin. So when I get the door off for the re-skin I will do the hinges.

Worn door hinges

Does anyone supply over size door hinge pins. My hinges have quite a lot of slack on the part that is diverted to the door. I could team them out and it oversize pins or a bush insert. Im sure that a DDK er wil have overcome this problem! Advice always appreciated. Thanks John

Sound deadening

Hi, It's time to do something about the noise inside the car! Can anyone suggest a lightweight (cheap?) insulation material please? I've looked at Dynamat xtreme, Brown-Paper and various suggestions about lead flashing (Marley, aquaseal building products) etc. But they are all heavy and expensive if...

Try spraying it with WD40 and tape it in place as you go along. Ialso have a very good plastic knive type thing from a leaded light window frame maker. Hard plastic edge so no scratches and won't slice into yr skin if it slips. Even so, a tough job. Good luck. John
