Re: Northern DDK Curry Night
Great! I'm in.
Incidentally, do we still get notification if the thread gets updated? Luckily I'm checking DDK but I would have hated to have missed it!
Cheers,
Bert

As indicated in your Beetle post, as well as in the facebook posts during Mr Moss' en Madden's visit, I'd be really keen to learn about it, see the result, and perhaps become a next customer in line!

Aye, reet lads. I live in Staffordshire now, so I am not sure I will be able to arrive before the dessert is served. Depending on which days, I'm willing to give it a shot but Wednesday and Thursday are definitely out. I don't work Mondays, if that is any help  Nige, wanna ride together if it w...

Yes, but, what engine is in it, though? It could be a rogue C3!Nick Moss wrote: If the car is a 79 SC it's VERY unlikely to have a Carrera 3.0 6 bolt crank, they were deleted on the change to the 3.0 SC motor and 3.3 Turbo

Re: Ideas for motorway-mile-munching fun?
Forgive me for my gauche choices, but: Anything Alpina BMW. Ive got the B3 Biturbo and it is lush. I was looking at getting a Maserati, but the Ghibli 3.0 Biturbo diesel is underwhelming, the petrols are very nice, the quottroporte is awesome in the petrol variant, and sensible in the diesel. I like...

Re: Info on a 50's Porsche 'import' registration No plate pl
I can concur. My granddad bought his Porsches directly from Germany (1. He was German. 2. The Belgian Porsche dealers "are all crooks" that don't know a screwdriver from a spanner.) and he drove them over on these temp plates. To add insult to injury, they could be issued for 1 month...

Re: Mocktini? 1978 930 Turbo advice
This Turbo is so cool it is unreal. I think the hole in the rear wing might have been for the CB antenna? As the car is "pre-restauration" at the moment, and the engine needs pretty much everything to fill the casings, would this be the moment to buy- upgrade a 964 or 993 engine with 3.8 l...
