Im wondering though if the continued pressurising the injectors with fuel while we cranked and cranked but no pulsing/opening might have lead to blocking of one or more - but only because they are probably pretty dirty already

I’m guessing the others will be too I’ve got an injector cleaner kit but also today a new injector arrived...

All good stuff but I'll be judging it after I get at that injector. I'm hoping that is the smoking gun

Also can you check the voltage at that injector just to make sure it’s getting a signal to open? I’m not doing that now as I’m knackered. Also I checked all the wiring the other day and also also the signal goes to all 3 injectors simultaneously. And also also also that wouldn’t explain the leaking...

It’s a good start Mark. A mere misfire won’t stop you now. If I were you I’d be buying a set (or at least a couple) of injectors before you go mountain climbing.
