Re: Ethanol free fuel - help in Scotland!
The stuff completely screws up carbs, trust me! I don't want to rip apart that nice new 3.8 on a yearly basis. What I want is someone that is willing to supply a few drums of the good stuff; i.e. non-ethanol fuel. Once you all over here (I am a yank) start having problems due to E10+ you will unders...

Re: New Bentayga
I used to hate SUVs, ... I mean what is the point? Need room, buy an estate. However the wife is on her second Macan, now a Macan TT. It is fun, but generally I would rather drive my S4 Avant on a daily basis. My wife is small, short and I understand why she likes it ... The new Bent is an improveme...

Ethanol free fuel - help in Scotland!
Hello,
Is anyone in Scotland able to find Ethanol free fuel? Alternatively does anyone know of a reasonable supplier to deliever a barrel (200Litres)? I have priced Classic Fuels, but at ~£600/bbl it is hard to justify when I don't need leaded fuel; I just don't want the Ethanol.
Thanks Chris

Re: I made a big mistake!
Sounds like you got off lightly in my book. Try an engine out "service" once! Anyhow its sorted and you don't have to worry about that issue for a long time. 174k miles is alot; be prepared! I have about the same on my '71. She runs good, but dig deep?

Always cheaper but less fun to buy one built. The problem is getting one that meets your standards.

Re: Wevo Gateshift - experience?
Hi Ian, That is good feedback. The 915 is being completely rebuilt by an excellent shop. I asked for a Gateshift to be installed. Its ~$800; however the engine is costing me a bucket load of cash so why not attempt to get the best 915 I can get? I originally figured if I added the Gateshift then I d...

Wevo Gateshift - experience?
Hello Is anyone currently running a Wevo Gateshift? I am undertaking a comprehensive 915 build to support a "proper" 3.8 for my '71 and I want a solid 'box that I can beat on. Wevo recommends running their PSJ (race?), Wevo shifter and then you could add shift tubes ... it gets very expens...

Does anyone know who builds the gearboxes for Singer? I am having a trans built for my 3.8, which is based in LA for now.

Re: New Member - Aberdeen Scotland
Here is a picture from the 2018 Targa California. It was a great trip. I have since had the "comfort" pack removed and have a great suspension installed. The clutch did not survive the trip so an engine out service etc was carried out before the next year's Targa. After the 2019 event I de...

Does anyone now if a SWB mirror will fit a Longhood? Really will it sit at the correct location once screwed into the overhead to be usable?
