Re: Newly rebuilt engine and turbo
Quick update here guys
Always check when rebuilding the engine that the 9mm ball bearing is inserted into the specially machined banjo fitting at the top of the engine that supplies the turbo!
It will do a lot of damage to your turbo if it's not there!!!

Gauge wiring
Hi
I have a 1982 UK supplied 930
I have an issue with the oil pressure and temp gauge wiring and was hoping someone could post a photo showing the wiring connections and colours on theirs?
I suspect an SC of the same era may well be the same as the turbo
Thanks in advance
Graham

930 question
Hi, Is there anyone on here with a 930 that hasn't got a vent pipe outlet on their turbo catch tank? I have a Fabspeed system on mine which does away with the open vent line back to the air box I spoke with Fabspeed after my newly rebuilt turbo was wrecked due to lack of oil on initial start up of t...

Re: 930 with a Fabspeed exhaust system anyone?
Sadly the two threads relate to K27 turbos whilst my 83 car employs the earlier KKK 3LDZ variant which doesn't ( according to Turbodynamics) have an alternative thrust bearing so I am back at square one!

Re: New member saying Hi
Thanks guys Can’t wait to get it on the road..... sadly the turbo itself has had a catastrophic failure before it has spooled up in anger! There appears to have been an airlock in the oil flow and turbo has had to come off and be rebuilt for a second time!!! Painful experience...will update soon hop...

Re: Newly rebuilt engine and turbo
Thanks guys
Turns out the newly rebuilt turbo is wrecked more than when I sent it in for a rebuild.
I am keeping quiet now until the person who built and test ran the engine has had his say......meanwhile grab yourselves some pop corn and I will update when I can

Newly rebuilt engine and turbo
So guys,
Anyone have any ideas why my newly rebuilt 3.3 engine with newly rebuilt turbo has an issue with the turbo haemorrhaging oil out on the pressurised side up through the intercooler and thus into the engine producing thick black smoke!
