The 14 inch comfort wheels are ‘comfort wheels' because they were fitted with full fat 185 x 14 tyres. If you fit the 185/70 x14 CN36 tyre to the comfort wheel, you’ll lose the comfort aspect because that particular tyre is low profile. The rolling circumference of 14 inch CN36 is about 5.5% smaller...

OP, I had my wheels rebalanced the 'Static' way with the weights applied as close to the centre line of the wheel as possible (the weights were previously on the inside edge of the wheel), per Dougal's advice, and this fixed the balancing problem for me. According to the Cert of Authenticity, my USA market 911T is a December 1969 build, 1970 model year, in burgundy 2424.
