You will have blast. I have been doing a few of the Truro DMC Autosolos in my 72. Always great fun and these events are enhanced by the very disparate bunch of competitors and cars that enter IMO. I did it one month in my dad's old Suburu Forester estate which was a hoot.

Re: What is the most powerful air cooled 911 engine produced
Factory I am guessing 993 RSR so circa 400BHP? But something like 20? hour rebuild life from memory.
Ninemeister do their special 933 engine conversion which must be up to something similar.
How highly stressed of an engine are you willing to go?

You mean one of these ?
Overrider bar?
Thing you strap the Skis to?
I can't think of the proper name either.

Re: 35-50 Original RHD in existence?
The 912 was pretty popular in the UK. Don't take the following numbers of RHD imported into the UK as exact but they should be in the correct ballpark
1966: 105 ish
1967: 81 ish
1968: 43 ish
1969: 68 ish

Re: '73 RHD T Targa with S engine
I believe the engine number in the Targa matches the original engine number in WMR 911K that cropped up in a thread recently. I have PM'd Steve T who posted on the thread about it.

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?
Spent the morning clearing up the remains of a rear window screen that smashed whilst carrying it last night. Looks like they are hardened glass and not laminated so it 'exploded' into a million pieces which spread themselves over the whole garage. Oh joy of joys.

Re: off topic garage doors
This may help people visualise what you are trying to do. As currently fitted to my rather rustic garage but very cool in my opinion. I would be interested in the details of the company who supply the hardware as I have a couple of damaged hangers. Ian. https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-vwDu1RzWWow...

911 virgin seem to be pretty good at pricing their cars. Never too cheap, never too expensive. The PCGB one will go for a similar price.

Re: Rhd 2.4 S at auction
I'm not quite sure what defines 'investment grade??' .....a term I have often seen used in US auction descriptions. A car that is easy to sell on when required so matching everything, right colour, complete history, etc. Factory confirmation that the shell build number and chassis number match is a...

Re: Rhd 2.4 S at auction
Yes it almost certainly would have. Seems to have a complex history with the original engine swapped out many years ago after engine failure (the engine from memory turned up fitted to a Targa that was for sale a year or so ago) plus the car has been raced by Autofarm in HSCC in the past. The shell ...

Re: What radio was in a 1973 T Coupe?
This was taken by me in what looked to be a very original US 1972 T. Interesting to see the frequencies go left to right rather than right to left in the link above and the numbers are slightly different. I wonder when they changed? Although the highest frequency in the picture is blurred I am almos...
