Preparers rally Germany 73?
Hello, I have not been through this forum for some time and I would like to contribute to the construction of the capo. I present some photos of the pickling and the welds that it presents. Any idea how it was built or what materials were used? I understand that it is tin / lead to fill but it is no...

Re: Traffic history
Do you mean that you are trying to find details (name, address, etc) of the person who owned your car when it was in Germany ? I believe that the man who had it in Germany is the gentleman who brought him to the island. Wolfgang Fend. Although I had not thought of the possibility that this gentlema...

Traffic history
Hi, I happen to comment on what I said in other forums. In summer I have an acquaintance who will go to Germany and I am interested in obtaining the record of traffic that had the car in the year that was in Germany. My question is which department should I direct? Traffic Germany? Can someone give ...

Re: Identification help
thanks for info!Lightweight_911 wrote:A production number in the format 101XXXX conforms to a 911 Coupe built for the 1971 model year - you can't glean any other info since the production number was allocated/stamped before the shell/car became model-specific (ie before it became a T, E or S model).

Re: hi, flares and repainted
The paint identification plate on you car shows the paint code as 117 which is Light Yellow (Hellgelb). Probably the lighter yellow on your car is therefore the undercoat. Most "ST" were constructed by Porsche at the factory. ST were usually based on an "S" but there were a few ...

Re: hi, flares and repainted
Not now. The initial question was whether the car had two layers of yellow, or if it only had one and the bottom was base.hot66 wrote:Which is fair enough ... But we're still not talking factory car, just a modified customer racer , which is still really cool.
What s the question again ?
Thank you :!

Re: hi, flares and repainted
Sounds like a nice spec 2.4s ordered for the road. You wouldn't spec sunroof and electric Windows for a motorsport car. I'll bet the flares were added by a later owner .. The bonnet with integral spots I'd assume is aftermarket / custom and not Porsche We thought the same, that factory did not come...

Re: Delivery date New year
Can't help at all on whether Germans get New Year's Day as a holiday but can prove they have a sense of humour and recognise April fools day. My cars completion date is 1/4/72.... its a targa with sportomatic painted in sepia brown  I love the details of the dates as well as the enrollments. T...

Re: hi, flares and repainted
If you're wondering if the flares are original and the car came from the factory as a sports purpose ... I'd be surprised as I think from other photos I've seen the car has a factory sunroof ? According to manufactures Germany is a 911 S, according to the papers and porsche Spain 911 s / t. We are ...
