Re: Replace 69 T indicator relay.

69 gauges are held in by brackets with nuts on the back of the gauge.

Just pull your carpet in the trunk, remove the fibre board, and you may have to remove the pipe from the HVAC to the floor to get good access.

Thanks, I've got the fuel pump running off the Y connector from the switched hot red wire in the harness which powers the CDI unit.

Re: 69T Start Relay

Thanks, I pulled all the wiring out for the photo, and made some of the new wiring longer then required until I get it sorted and figure out how it runs. My car runs the CDI and hence the intermediate unit, which make for a few more wires then standard. The relay I'm having problems with is the star...

It's the one in the black covering you can see hanging down near the rear engine mount, and comes out from the black ( start relay ).

Re: 69T Start Relay

John, I've been running off SL 33 but it's such a transitional year that diagram doesn't really fit. it's got the optional CDI fitted, and the intermediate unit to drive the Tach. i've pinned out the relay and it would appear that i'm looking/talking about 86 on the relay. SL 33 has it going to a co...

69T Start Relay

Continuing on my exploration of a 69 Porsche's electrical wiring without a definitive wiring diagram. I've concluded that the fuel pump runs from the Y connector un-fused from the switched ignition (red wire ) from the main harness. Which is also connected to the Bosche CDI. What has got me stumped ...
