Re: the law on seat belts
I'm fairly sure all '64 & older cars don't need them, not '66.

Re: It's a bit 'new' but here goes
Thanks Sanjay, you're spot on there. I'm surprised anybody remembers the car as it's been off the scene for years. I remember the PO insisting that i inspected the car personally while it was on a ramp at PCT. Must admit i'd already made my mind up when first saw the car about 10 yrs before purchase.

No, my confusion really. I didn't know what a forum was until recently! I did wonder why some parts of the thread were feint! Doh. Thanks

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?
I have less glamorous news to report. Firstly the LH sticking latch mechanism receiveda dose of WD40 (pound shop equivalent is all i had to hand) which did the trick nicely, back to the gorgeous Germanic clunk

Re: It's a bit 'new' but here goes
Thanks Tp81, my pride & joy for 20 years. Barely a day goes by without an admiring trip to the garage just for a look. Dragonfly, are you describing the yellow C3? Mine's original & unrestored. Will make an effort in the new year to get out & meet fellow DDK-ers.

Re: It's a bit 'new' but here goes
Reply to Mike's response. £107k+ is a lot to put into any car! I'm sorting out a 66 912 at the moment and fear the costs will go sky high but it's the car i always really wanted so gotta go with it, really love them

Re: It's a bit 'new' but here goes
Wow! How did you know they looked after the car? The PO spent a small fortune there, eng & g/box rebuild etc. They are having it soon to replace the h/exchangers. Thanks everyone for the interest, i've only recently ditched my week long charge nokia that only makes calls & got a proper phone...

Re: It's a bit 'new' but here goes
I bought the car from a customer back on the mid. 90's and was mainly attracted to the colour, sounds s bit girly but when something inside rocks your boat........ It was my everyday car for years and drove it to Lancaster uni from home here in Brum, outside lane on the M6 all the way! Back then nob...

Re: It's a bit 'new' but here goes
Indeed, glad the optional console wasn't selected as it's easy sliding across & exiting through LH door! Just started up 1st crack after being driven in back in October when MOT expired.

Re: Help please.....key won't turn against spring to start.
Probably the switch on the back of the barrel that's stuck & will need replacing. The immobiliser prevents starting when in the springy zone. My '77 had an OPC immobiliser fitted by the PO and one day after about 5 yrs ownership it packed up preventing me from starting the car. Surprisingly my a...
