Re: Suspension Refresh

Split bolts for the trailing arms if you haven't got them already make future removal and adjustments much easier as you don't have to drop the transmission. If you don't have them already then just cut through the old ones with a hacksaw and replace on reassembly. Elephant Racing do some nice parts...

An Up! is great fun, decent quality and can be customised if she wants.....

The Mighty Car Mods guys on youtube have used one on their latest road trip

Re: 8000 rpm/300 bhp 3.2 reuild

I'll be interested to see what you think of Headshop (UK) Ltd, at some point in the not too distant future I'll need some work doing myself. They share the same premises as Jonny Holland of Unit 11 Porsche who does work on my 944 and though I've only had a quick look in the back rooms I was suitably...

A Hard Days Fright 1964 BRSCC Brilliant! where did that half hour go? JW It's great to see the people and characters of a race meeting, not just an endless parade of cars, and so try and understand how it was and what the ambience was like. They also have Circuit and See 1963 BRSCC , Ace of ...

Very nice! I'm looking at doing something similar, can I ask who built/supplied it? Are you happy with it? Presumably it's within the 2.5m height regs etc?

Cheers

Looks like a nice motor!

I'm sure you're aware of it but there's a great resource for all things 944 at Clark's Garage and the manuals are also all available online.

Re: Suspension drops on one side 912/911

Front and/or rear? Front could be the splines on the torsion bar or housing being badly worn (unlikely) or failure of the torsion bar itself. Rear sag could be torsion bar failure or worse the inner torsion tube splines that hold the bar may have come loose from their welds and rotated. At least wit...

Re: Trailing arm bushing

Hi Stefan, I replaced mine with the elephant racing trailing arm bushes...overnight in the freezer and they went in smoothly with a little easing from a vice. At the same time I fitted the Wevo E-Z Pins to allow suspension removal/installation without taking out the transmission. Expensive for what ...

If you want top quality stuff then I can recommend Harman Lab.

Their site also has tutorials for how to prepare your files for printing etc.

Re: A sportscar for...

How about a 944? Cheap enough to buy and do what you want with, enough room inside or on top for a bike, the people that know will respect the choice, those that don't aren't offended by it's understated design and inoffensive exhaust....?

You can't please all the people all the time.
