Thanks for all of your organising Tom, it was a great show! Wish I had a fiver for every time I heard "I didn't know Porsche made tractors"! Great pictures too.
Many thanks.

Now sold For sale is my 911. A 1982 SC sport coupe in zinc metallic. Bought by me in October 2007, it had 106,795m when I collected it on a friends truck. The original engine was in boxes. Over the next few years (two children came along)I worked away at building the engine. Finally getting it back ...

Re: The Classic Motor Hub
Hi all,
Yes, we attended an event last year with a few other ddk'ers and it was a great event, a very interesting collection of cars in a great setting.
We may go if I get around to taxing the car!

Re: Market prices...
There have been a few adverts asking very high prices, they seem to be live for a long time, presumably not selling? These adverts seem to be crazy prices though, people trying their luck me thinks!

Looks like a cracking place to visit. I taxed my SC today and have promised myself I will use it this year and also try and meet up with others so will try and come along.
I'm in the Forest of Dean, not sure if anyone will be traveling from this direction? Will see you all there otherwise.

Gear selection has always been okay. Last time I drove it was for the last mot (April 2016) Went to get it out yesterday to ru...

Re: My engine won't come out
My 914 had been butchered by someone not knowing they were originally torx and using the wrong tool. Torx, what Torx? Not on any Porsche I know of. The 914 CV joint bolts generally use the tri-square (12-point) bolts. The 12 point female bolt heads are known as 'spline' drive, I believe. used exten...

Re: My engine won't come out
I have removed worn out hex/Allen key bolts by tapping in the relevant 'slightly larger' torx socket, if the torxsocket is of sufficient quality it will usually be fine, just make sure it is hit in far enough to make decent contact with the Allen bolt. I found a good habit to get into with the Allen...
