Re: 911 ST Wheel and Tyres sizes

Thanks that's really helpful.
Id love to go for TB15's but it looks like PIRELLI CINTURATO P7 is the more sensible choice for the use the car is going to get.
Still £2K a set though.

911 ST Wheel and Tyres sizes

Hi There, My car's back from storage and a steady flow of shiny bits has started to arrive. I've decided to go with new Fuchs front and rear but would be grateful if someone could confirm these are the correct ones, I'm thinking's 7's on the front will mean steering not as heavy as with 8's? https:/...

Re: Hocky Puck Horn Button

That's great thanks,
I've given them a call and they have them in stock. I was thinking of going for an original if possible but might look a better with a repro as I'm getting the wheel recovered.

Hocky Puck Horn Button

Hi There, In starting to try and get hold of the remaining parts that I need for finishing my car for the summer: https://www.ddk-online.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=68115 I've got a 380mm steering wheel 914 347 805 10 but still need the hocky puck horn button. It would be amazing to get an original o...

Re: Meet Ralph - 1970 ST project

Made it into storage last week without drama. I’m hoping it will only be in there for a month or two at most. Other news is that I’ve sold my 3.2 Carrera, It was a really great car but selling means I can really focus on getting this finished. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53608718365_f89d6206...

Re: Meet Ralph - 1970 ST project

Ended up going full Monte on the ride height too as the tilting flat bed wasn’t available to move it. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53608545829_28c4c1ffc4_c.jpg 1000052794 by richard cannings , on Flickr Next step was to get engine in on a temporary basis. I decided to get the old heat exchang...

Re: Meet Ralph - 1970 ST project

Steady progress, An impending house move meant the priority was to get the car to a point where it could be moved into storage as a single entity and be water tight. Windscreen was the first thing on the list. I ordered a tinted heated screen from Ricky Evans that tunned up without issue and was dee...

Re: Who to use?

Hi There, I don't know about the original finishes but for the black parts I prefer to use epoxy primer and satin 2K paint after media blasting. I've had problems with powder coating where if you do get a chip and water ingress you end up with corrosion running under the plastic. 2K paint can easily...

Re: Unidentified Part

Thanks for your thoughts,
I'll have a look in that area. I may just bin it tomorrow, I'm sure that within no time I'll find out how rare, valuable and important it is.

Unidentified Part

Hi there, I would be grateful if anyone could tell me what this part is. Most likely from 1987 3.2 Carrera that had A/C or a 1970 LHD T. Looked in both PETs but couldn't find it. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53504804704_3a7a1c5cf5_c.jpg 20240202_163442 by richard cannings , on Flickr Thanks R...

Looks like it may be a 260z from looking at the wheels.

Now removed from the engine, Internals look in good condition with just some light surface corrosion. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53482829664_3eb3deab3e_c.jpg 20240121_220313 by richard cannings , on Flickr https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53482527336_01fd264da4_c.jpg 20240121_220258 by r...
