Re: reverse-able trailers

Over-adjusted brakes or more likely a weak/damaged damper in the hitch head will cause this.

Re: 4 pot kettles...

I owned 6 944's including an S,S2 and a turbo back in the early 90's and they were a very capable car with a bit of a dull engine. I would still consider them to be a great first Porsche but they are unlikely to captivate an existing owner. This is my first 944. http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/gg...

Re: Would you buy a new 911 given.........

The 991 is the first of the VW "GT Franchise" cars which uses a tuned production engine and judging by the latest rumours of engine failures will not go down in history for particularly good reasons unlike the mezger engined cars which will take merciless thrashing and have a kings lineage...

Re: Would you buy a new 911 given.........

This is just the beginning of the cynical exploitation of the "GT" moniker by VW.

A nice enough car but fitted with a detuned modular 991 engine...

Real GT cars have a Mezger engine.

Re: Porsche 914 wanted.

Just a little bump up on this..I have decided that a complete project would be the way to go rather than over pay for a restored car of variable quality...So a nice complete project please, any colour, year or model.

I must say that black thing on the front ruins the look of your otherwise lovely car.

It was 20k when it was offered to me a while back. :?: Perhaps a "black Friday" reduction???

I really detest this smoke and mirrors shizzle..... :| 3 times I have been offered cars with a variable price and with variable terms!!!

Re: Restored 914 1.7 for sale on Car and Classic 5th Dec 201

With the best will in the world a 911 and a 914 are night and day apart on every level, so any comparison on pricing is at best fanciful.

Re: Shipping to UK..

Thanks for the heads up guys.
Kingstown have given me a quote for shipping.I have done the maths and along with the asking price I don't think that particular car will make sense, particularly as I am buying essentially blind. So for now I will continue my search in this country.
