Re: 986 Boxster advice ...

. Incidentally he said that many of the silver cars tend to have blue interiors/hoods - how do these stand up to the test of time (wear & tear/sunlight) - is fading more of a problem than a black interior ? Obviously, as ever, condition/history is of prime consideration but, spec-wise, what abo...

Ticket Available for 17th Annual Oulton Park RS Day 2017

Unlikely to be able to attend and would prefer to sell the ticket for face value to someone who can make it.

Have posted this on another forum so if it goes in the meantime I will update this post.

If you're interested please pm me.

Thanks

Re: Top Gear is back TONIGHT

Thought it was a bit flat - too similar and frankly lazy.

ExtraGear? It is on for 6 weeks - is it way to introduce Rory Reid and Chris Harris to broadcast presenting?

Re: Way O/T, but anyway

Have run my Boxster (2001 986s) for 8+ years. Had a period when I didn't use it much because of work/company car. Back in it for the last 12 months as a daily driver (2k/month) and it just works. Plus I track it - 2 in the last 8 days plus 800 miles of road use to/from work and family stuff. Easy pe...

Re: Bought a Boxster today.

Thank you for the info, all helps 'shape things up'. I think a hard top is 'top' of the list and I think the same design fits all Boxsters up to the 987. 987 is different (maybe). Porsche Hardtop is slightly different between 986 and 987. They are not interchangeable. I think it is to do with the s...

Re: Bought a Boxster today.

986 alcantara seats are on eBay, but not sure they would fit into the 987. 986 seats will fit mechanically but as has already been mentioned check for seat airbags. 986 doesn't have them - instead it uses airbags in the doors. Also think that the connectors are different so that's more messing arou...

Re: OBD scanners - any recommendations ?

I bought this 3 years ago to read and clear codes on my 2001 Boxster:

Cheap, a bit clunky but works - there may be a later version.
