Re: Twinspark - 964/993 & Motronic
I am also after the same answer to Magnum's question, indeed I asked the same question over on IB some time ago and have yet to receive the answer I'm looking for. Two coils are needed, one for each half of the dizzy. Both sparks fire at the same time. The benefits are indeed cleaner more complete c...

Re: Off topic cycling chat for the cyclisti out there..
"I can only guess the camera technology has further progressed because you definitely got a better sense of the gradients these guys were riding" Camera technology remains the same (except for GoPro coverage) but they are trying harder to show gradients. Plus, it was just plain steep! I wa...

Trying to fire two coils from one 3.2 ECU signal....
Hi all, I've gone and made my 3.2 into a 3.4 and with large gobs of 'while you are in there' I've twin-plugged it and bought a 964 twin distributor. The single signal from the 3.2 ECU therefore needs splitting and sending to two coils, and then the HT from both to the two halves of the 964 distribut...

Re: Off topic cycling chat for the cyclisti out there..
I'm not as convinced as you guys that they aren't identical, at least as the major brand's cheaper stuff. For example I had a Planet X TT frame a few years ago and in the same year a TDF team (Cadel Evans' team) were on Ridley bikes. Guess what? EXACT same frame from exact same mould in far east.......

Re: Off topic cycling chat for the cyclisti out there..
Carbon frames Do break, I broke 2 in last 12 months. 1st was Bottom Bracket separating from frame due to years of use, next I bought an expensive Italian branded frame from Planet X which had a push fit BB30 which (as they all do) creaked. I ended up gluing in the BB with bearing assembly fluid. It ...

WTB 964 distributor
Perhaps a bit new for here but I'm planning on twin-plugging my 3.2, so I need a 964 distributor. Anybody here got one at sensible money please?
Thanks, Chris.
Thanks, Chris.

Re: Choosing adjustable spring plates
I am planning on using Sway-Away adjustable spring plates, they look just like the ones on ebay. Again they need their own bushes as they are a slightly different diameter. Smallspeed, I think you are looking at them upside down. The screw pushes up on the torsion bar part as the wheel rises and can...

Re: For sale, nearly new Cobra RS classic seats
Just the 8 bolts I’m afraid, all the other mounting hardware I made has been reused on the RSR seats as bolt holes are the same. Easy job though, just 2 strips of metal per seat to make.

For sale, nearly new Cobra RS classic seats
Hi all, I'm changing to Cobra's RSR seat as it gives more lateral support on track days. The RS classic looks better (IMHO) and is easier to live with day to day. Unless you are tracking your car they are great. These have been used for about 6 hours driving, passenger seat for about 1 hour! They ar...

Wanted interior rear view mirror
Hi there, I've got a new screen in my '84 car but the mirror is apparently the wrong type(!) I need one with the small round base that clips to a metal catch that is bonded to the screen. They were fitted from 3.2 to 993 I think......
