Re: Ripped off, what to do?
Hi all, Thanks for your help with this, clearly this has gained a lot of interest. As you'll see from my initial post, I was unsure whether or not to name the seller, hence the initial question, what to do? I now find myself in the awkward predicament of trying to thank the person that I was origina...

Re: Ripped off, what to do?
Hi all, Here's an update: Today I have received some of the parts promised and also been in lengthy discussions with the seller regarding the other parts. I really believe the seller intends to make good this transaction after all. So to be fair, I intend to leave this post run for people to see tha...

Re: Ripped off, what to do?
ok, you were right :-( He's now refused to send the parts until I remove the feedback, blah blah blah. Fact is it's been so long that I doubt ebay would even allow the removal. Told him to shove them where the sun don't shine as it's it's just one thing after the next and has been for months. His na...

Re: Ripped off, what to do?
ok, thanks. I'll keep it brief and factual. Engine bought early August this year. Phoned seller after inspection informing him engine completely seized, he laughed and said it couldn't be. I offered him to come and inspect, or send an engineer of his choice to come and verify. He didn't. I said I'd ...

Ripped off, what to do?
Hi, I could do with some advice. I bought a 2.4 engine off a business on ebay. It was described as a "fit and go" engine but when received it was actually seized and lots of parts missing or damaged. The seller won't take it back, and ebay/paypal can't do anything as I foolishly paid by ba...

Dismantling clocks
Hi,
I want to remove the metal rings around my clocks, to get them chromed etc.
I tried this once before on a vw gauge and broke the glass.
Is there an easy way please?
Thanks
Phil.

Re: 2.4 engine trumpet things
Thanks both,
Makes sense.
Those mesh filters do look nice, where do I get them?
I have the Zenith carbs by the way.

2.4 engine trumpet things
Hi, I've been looking at images of 2.4 carbed engines, as I'm currently working on mine. Some have a big one piece plastic air filter housing, while other pics show the bare carbs with "trumpet" looking intakes. Purely for childish reasons I want the "trumpet" look. What's the ru...
