Re: Your Porsche pic of the day......

My new 968 Sport.
My God, they handle sooo well.
Driving around the lanes yesterday, I remembered partly why I sold my last one about eleven years ago - because I drove it like a hooligan everywhere, and needed to slow down

Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day

I managed to get my Fulvia Sport on track last week for a shakedown at Bedford Autodrome. Went really well, the car handles fantastic, so flat and sure-footed, the uprated suspension settings work a treat. Lovely gearbox & LSD that helped traction, rebuilt calipers stopped well. Only issue was w...

Re: Anyone waiting for UK registration on an imported vehicl

I'd agree with the above. I had both the original Greek registration document, and a letter of authenticity from the AROC registration secretary, stating that the chassis number had been confirmed by Alfa Storico. Certainly seemed to help, as reg docs came through in six weeks - correctly as a histo...

Re: Anyone waiting for UK registration on an imported vehicl

New reg docs received this morning for my Alfa GTV 2000.
Pretty good service from DVLA, V55/5 with supporting documents sent off 27th Oct.

Came through correctly set up as a historic vehicle - tax exempt.

Re: Bye Bye 348 - Hello GTV!

I agree.

Having driven a few 355's & 348's, a well sorted 348 feels so much nicer to drive.
I also think that the 355 styling is a 'sanitised' update of a design that was fresh and quite innovative when new - and will ultimately be looked back upon as boring compared to a 348.

Re: Bye Bye 348 - Hello GTV!

It's got all the usual Alfaholics bits - the lightweight 'race' adjustable suspension, 45% lsd, half cage - but ready to fit front section if needed, not too hot engine, GTA wheels, rebuilt gearbox etc. I have a real soft-spot for 105 coupes, I've had loads in the past. I think I'll get this set up ...

Bye Bye 348 - Hello GTV!

Well, I've done a deal on my 348 and taken a very nice 1974 GTV in part ex. The latter GTV's aren't my favourite, I do prefer the earlier 70's Juniors, but this is an ex Californian car in exceptional condition and very well sorted with all the nice Alfaholics bits. https://scontent.flhr3-1.fna.fbcd...

Re: Ferrari 348...

Yep, only when cold.
Classic Ferrari (nee Italian), 1st to 3rd until warm, then they're a pleasure, very mechanical and a lovely metallic snick across the gated lever.

Re: Ferrari 348...

I have a LHD 348tb at the moment (though I am having to sell due to a new business commitment). It's my 3rd Ferrari and by far the best, it's a way better drive than a 308/328, with 300bhp and a fantastic sound through a Tubi, the steering is so much nicer than the over-assisted 355 and later cars. ...
