Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day
That's brilliant, Clive. I've just inherited a Concorde hip flask - it's a 10th anniversary one and a lovely thing. It'd never been used, or taken out of its box. I'm intending on using it at every chance I get now.

Re: All change at ‘Classic Porsche’ Mag?
I agree. The only mag I still subscribe to is Automobilsport. 60€ a year for four issues, but it's well researched, well written, and beautifully put together. Airmighty is funny, as again it is gorgeous but the writing's pretty toss. I'd much rather pay more for a good quarterly than an average mon...

I've got a few bits of grotty tinware on the 964. For a third of the price of new stuff from Porsche I bought carbon fibre stuff from DP Motorsport instead. Weighs nothing as well.

Re: 356 big European Trip
Visiting the Škoda Museum and Ferry Porsche house in Prague? I only had time for one last time I was there, so chose the museum. No regrets!

In the Macan, which isn't even mine so probably doesn't count, but drove bits of the Chimay race circuit. Which means I've now partially driven two different street circuits in two different countries in two different Porsches.

There's also a GM-era SAAB 900 in the lineup.

Just re-read your post. Ignore me.
My Porsche stuff these past few days has been sticking the summer wheels back on the Macan. My back is killing me still.

Pumping pedals for brake flushing? Sod that. Get (or make) yourself a pressure bleeder! Pinch the overflow, pressurise the fluid reservoir, and crack the nipples in turn. I can do the 964 in about an hour now, including the clutch. Takes about 2 litres for a full flush.

18? He'll love Legoland. Our eldest is coming up for 14 and we've had several 'last trip before he gets too old for it' trips, and every time he's looking forward to going back. As am I, to be honest. Loads of good roads in that part of the world and if you're not all museumed out, back road diversi...

Re: Trip to the Porsche Museum - advice required
Staying at the V8 Hotel is definitely recommended. The onsite brewery does excellent dunkelweizen which pairs really well with whatever Flammkuchen you desire. If you're there for two nights, then the Böblingen mall is a short walk (past Porsche Böblingen as well) and has a great wee Maultaschen tak...

Huge link for some reason, but I'm intrigued to see how much this partial 356 goes for... https://www.carandclassic.com/auctions/1960-porsche-356b-nkPZJ4?bsft_aaid=a5ce63ed-6419-48b8-adb6-8692f74daf04&bsft_eid=5bbd8571-2532-a37e-e5d2-5f36dd0bc03b&utm_campaign=targeted-i-europe-thursday-email...

I went in with no preconceptions, tbh. Found myself tuning out a bit but still managed to get to the end. Still haven't managed to finish an Intercooler or Collecting Cars one yet.

Re: The DDK Nationals
I could be up for Santa Pod as well - it's only a couple of hours from Harwich afterall. Is MIA early Porsche fan Brizey B still doing shows there? He used to bagsy a 'good' bit of the campground for VZiers, and would maybe do the same for DDKers?
