Talc (and corn starch) is also quite good at cleaning oxidisation off alloy wheels and giving them a sheen

Re: Assessing an unknown engine

True, the dish washer is me. I’m cheap and reliable and never break down. Best cleaning for me has been paraffin, more paraffin, WD40. Bag after drying. Re: Quandry / Query - NOT Porsche related ... need abs help

Re: 915 trans HEAVY DUTY clutch supplier needed!

Just mention Trading Standards, and they sold you a so called Heavy Duty item, which has been identified as a standard cover - irrespective of use, it was mis sold as something it clearly is not.

Re: Tyre sizing?

I'm all for choice and we need to be able to give a balanced view / opinion to owners of cars . There isn't necessarily a right or wrong answer, but for some budget does matter and I'd rather people had fresh rubber on their cars than sticking with 10year old tyres that have gone hard and have no g...

Re: 915 trans HEAVY DUTY clutch supplier needed!

Same here, when Keith left it went downhill rapidly, lots of repeat features, and crap writing, lost what it was all about, and cancelled my prescription, plus they never turned up on time either!
