Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?
FInally got the Emerald ECU mapped; http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z9/BrewsterTheBear/AD344A6D-E61C-41EF-A632-C9CF229E1B3D_zpsgbxmdws2.jpg http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z9/BrewsterTheBear/9DFA12CC-5F44-4FB8-85FC-528401799B57_zpsixosxpu1.jpg I'm happy with 245bhp. Good torque curve too. Pull...

Re: 911 CDI UPGRADE
If anyone is interested in a 6-pin version of Jonny's advanced CDI+ then I have one for sale at a considerable discount on new. I was very impressed with it, but I have gone fully EFI now.

Re: Leaking fuel pump
I fitted two brand new Pierburgs to my car and neither worked. As tempting as it is when they are £120 and the Bosch one is >£300 don't waste your time and money, just get the Bosch one and be done with it.

I could well be interested. Do these fit without the aluminium trim?

TAG Heuer Silverstone
I have my Silverstone for sale. Between my JLC Reverso and my Rolex GMT BLNR the TAG doesn't get any wrist time. I'd sell for £2200 to a DDKer outside of eBay.

Re: Hello and questions
Brewster, thanks for the info very helpful. I have had a Turbo Thomas Item before and it was very good. No problem. The only reason I stuck with mine was that I had already bought and fitted it long ago because my heat exchangers were like lace and original muffler was holed. I'd definitely have go...

Re: Use of CV joints with grease cap.
I paid 256 plus vat and delivery one way, I dropped them off on way down country, 4 cv fitted and boots on and shafts painted all up ready to fit to the car......hope that helps..mark Many thanks, and as I hoped. I'll send them down to him for an appraisal and refurb. He just wouldn't give even a r...

Re: Hello and questions
I have that very muffler on my car with the 50mm tailpipes. Be warned there is very little inside it, even in the way of ducting. It is sectioned off and the gasses fill the centre part and are forced out of the tailpipes. The tailpipes are also ridiculously long as it comes, too. I shortened them a...

Re: Use of CV joints with grease cap.
Could anyone tell me what they've roughly paid for a Dave mac service on a driveshaft? I have one clunking and two split boots since I've got the car running again. I'm tempted to take both off and send them to him. I called him and he wasn't willing to give even a ballpark figure at all without see...

Re: Door Glass Install
The rail is too rusty to save. New one on order. £170 including the delivery and VAT! Having rebuilt pretty much the whole car you'd think I'd be used to the daylight robbery, but there's a couple of quids worth of monkey metal in this thing at most. Beggars belief.

Re: Door Glass Install
Cheers Nick, much appreciated. It must just be the missing beading on the outside causing my whistle.

Door Glass Install
My painter delivered me back a terrible jigsaw puzzle of door bits and I still don't have it all correct. I'm getting a whistle at motorway speeds from the nearside, plus the glass isn't stuck in the lifter rail correctly. Could someone let me know how the glass is meant to be held in the rubber and...
