1968 911 for sale
Please see a summary below of my 1968 911T and works completed: Short wheel base. Bodywork undertaken, whilst it looked good prior to restoration, some replacement panels were necessary (Porsche panels fitted, not repaired). Slate grey repaint. The 5 speed manual gearbox has been fully overhauled. M...

Re: 928: Stripped spark plug threads, previously helicoiled.
I am probably stating the obvious - even if you recover the helicoil, be sure to remove any remnants that may have fallen within the cylinder if not, the problem will be more than a stripped thread. Suggest feeding small a length of flexible tubing into the cylinder and attach to a vacuum cleaner. G...

GT4 wanted
Not a classic Porsche, as per the title - I have a desire to own a GT4. If you have one for sale or a recommendation, I would be grateful of any such leads.

Re: ignition leads
As per the above post, measure the resistance of the leads. Disconnect either end of the lead, using a multimeter (select ohms), attach the test leads one at each end the associated lead. With the multimeter still connected, work the lead and note the reading, repeat this for all of the ignition lea...

Clock cover
The plastic facia (or cover - not the dial) on the clock has cracked, it occurred on a very hot day. Am looking for a replacement.

Marelli Distributor Rotor Arm wanted
I have just made a gaff, went to tweak the timing on the 911 and managed to crack the rotor arm (Tw*t).
Any one have a Marelli Distributor Rotor Arm no longer required, if yes, how much?

Thank you

Oil leak from casing
Having completed the engine rebuild, there appears to be an oil leak from the engine case join, though I cannot be 100% certain. The oil is pooling above the crankshaft seal area. It would appear to be oil from the case somewhere behind the fan. Engine is now coming back out. Rather than stripping t...

Re: Classics at the Castle is back!
Thinking of going this year to help decide what colour to paint the car. Strange question but are dogs allowed? Also what sort of time does it wind down, trying to decide if I can do it in a day. Cheers Stuart. YES – Dogs must be on a lead please (quote from http://classicsatthecastle2017.com/faq/)...

Rich
Did you check your valve spring compression, the replacement springs I bought (from the same supplier in Germany where our Mahle components came from) where out of spec so never fitted them.
Sorry - I sound like doctor doom. Hopefully your originals were fine.....

Re: Whiny 901 box...
I haven't driven my Porsche this year, I do however recall a whine in one of the gears albeit slight.
