Re: New Owner of Extreme money black hole. 911E 1972 resto

Just finishing my 72 resto, have a number of oil stay stem spares, including the elusive oil filter manifold and an oil tank, the later is in need of work but may help with positioning.

Re: Steering column upper bearing

I have a spare upper shaft from a 72 that may (I think) still have a bearing on. I'd have to dig it out, but let me know if you're interested and we can figure a price out.

Re: Windscreen rubbers

Voice of experience....OEM, mine piped in so easily. Make sure he metal trim bits (what ever they're called) are also in good shape, or do like I did and get new ones too.

Re: Classic v 996 S?

Tickles me so much when people refer to boxster by their model numbers rather than just a boxster or a cayman. As if they pretending they've got am911. I had the same dilemma few years back and came close to buying a Cayman R. Instead I bought a 993. Very practical and steadily going to go in value,...

If you can email me pictures and price to wilcoxgeoff(at)aol(dot)com.

Also interest to know why you took them off and should I worry about fitting them at all?

Interested in your comments?

Door Stops / Door Checks

As per the title I'm on the look out for a pair of doors stops / checks. Hopefully someone out there has a pair they'd be happy to sell.

Rgds and thanks in advance.

Re: Drive Shaft Dog Bones

Quick measure up would confirm 10mm holes with approximately 47mm between centres of the two holes and about overall 66 mm end to end.

Needing 2 off if you can help me...

Early CV's are wide spaced, later noticeably smaller.
I think I have a few of both.

If good, happy to post to you if you drop a few shillings into the DDK fund.
Many thanks, will be working on the car later, will measure and advise....check also if I need one or two.
