I'm sure I remember that the owner might have a 912/356 so would be keen to help us quote]

No contact details I am afraid but he does definitely have a 912…. Indeed his is a Tangerine 912 SRR324F and mine is SRR192F also in Tangerine……Spooky!

Very glad you got such a positive result. I hope venture to Prescott so will say a hello…. Is there a link to the various rounds? I tried to find it but it didn’t seem to tally…

Gulp!

Tears or smiles.
Assume this is with Ben? Having used him on your recommendation a week or so ago I know it will be awesome! Best of luck.

Re: Tyre recommendations

. You're likely to get as many different recommendations as replies ! IMO the 2 best tyres for an early lwb 911 (185/70 x 15) are Avon CR6ZZ or Pirelli CN36 Cinturato. Both are expensive but once you've driven a 911 with either of these, anything else will disappoint ... . Yep i am on this page too...

Re: Cloned number plate: what can i do?

Shame you had this happen. What a pain in the XYZ

Whilst yours does sound ropey / fraud we do also get many cars where the dealer puts on wrong plates on when new, miss keys into DVRLA system etc. had one last year where 2 year old car had a slightly different plate front and back!

Re: V5 - Engine swap help!

So…. No sign of V5 yet but I have tackled the speedo issue. Sent it off to JDO in Yorkshire… Great service received, it was just the plastic cog. I looked at several videos of people opening up the Speedo like they were opening a can of tuna with a screwdriver and whilst tempted to dive in……I decide...

Oh Keith, that is not helpful…. How will I ever save for a 993 when all those pretty Sierra Madre things are now “a no brainer bargain….”

Re: KS's hillclimbing odyssey

They will be to stop oil starvation in corners. The crank runs longitudinally in this engine, I assume? Sent from my SM-G988B using Tapatalk Yes - but sadly those little fins contribute little to controlling oil surge and are more to do with aiding cooling. Surge is a problem which plagues these en...

Jow - Interesting to read this thread….. this is where I am heading too. I am a bit behind you as I need to sell first but I am hoping to go 993 when I do. Love the older cars and will keep my 912 but a few mates are getting some newer kit so be nice to have something to go do so longer trips in too...

Re: V5 - Engine swap help!

Thanks guys. Below is the text from the DVLA site, so the garage route is the last option. I have had the car 11 years so didn’t see that as an option. I might go for both and create a receipt and get a garage to confirm it is now that number…. Belt and braces…. Also just realised the mileage is not...
