Re: Body mounted fog lights

They are Bosch 5" fog lights, but I`ve wired them into the high beam. They`ll see more use that way. They should really be 4", but they work out at about £600 a pair, and I can`t justify that price!! Once you`ve cut the holes they simply bolt to the outer of the luggage compartment, with a...

Re: Body mounted fog lights

Hi Rich, yer the hard tops been fun, needed to cut it in half, add two inches to the middle, then re-profile the front and rear, for a nice snug fit. First attempt at spraying two pack, that`s a pain. Got all the seals from the States. Just need to go and see Gary, to see if any of his parts are cor...

Body mounted fog lights

Another little project finished. I think they look good, even if they are an inch too big :) http://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy272/speedstars/photo_zpsbdb913e3.jpg http://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy272/speedstars/image1_zps165aef65.jpg http://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy272/speedstars/image_...

Nice sidescreens, they do fit better the other way round though. One mans attempt at stopping the water getting in. :)
Don`t really see the need for the extra fasteners?!

Re: Speedster in Mertro Paper

Top notch job, and I thought I was doing well building mine the first time, for 6.5k, just to prove you could build a Speedster cheaply. She must have got the body second hand, for a song, as that`s the major outlay. I take my hat off to you young lady, have a wonderful life together, and happy moto...

Great call on the Haggerty insurance, I just insured the Speedster and Beetle on a join policy foe £232, like for like policy. £200 cheaper than Footman James wanted to renew. :)

Get solid piece of stainless round tube, run a die down it on one end or get a local machine shop to do it for you, Bend the other end over 45 degrees and cut a slot in the bent bit. Drill a hole in the windscreen frame, hook the top in and pass through the hole in the dash. Cut a pice of pipe the s...
