Re: Secure parking West London
Not completely secure, but underground, discrete and has CCTV - Q Park in Pimlico. I've used this carpark almost every week for the past few years and never had a problem. There's at least one other air cooled 911 in there under a cover at all times, plus several other classics and exotics at most t...

Not cheap, but good... http://www.mtrackonline.co.uk/ Lots of cheap DIY options available on eBay that are probably worth looking at, including this one... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/102-NANO-Mini-Car-Vehicle-GPS-Vehicle-Tracker-Tracking-Device-Compact-TK102-X0Z-/221283150378?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&am...

Re: I need a polishing thingy.....pour on the abuse!
Don't get a rotary if you've never used a machine polisher before! Have a read of this basic guide on how to detail/machine polish a car first... http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=63859 The basic process is wash your car, clay the surface to remove contaminants, machine polish, ...

Re: First Metalwork
Lots of options, depending upon how durable you need the finish to be. Powder coat will be very durable, but isn't the cheapest and generally can't be done at home. Spray etch primer and then some automotive or enamel paint often works well.

Paint Repair
Unfortunately on my last run out in the car for the year a few weeks ago the leading edge of the bonnet was hit by a large stone that chipped paint and possibly dented the metal - it's a nasty mark about the size of a 5p piece. So, can anyone recommend a good paint shop that can make a spot repair t...

Re: Standard 997 Carrera...these any good?
I had a 997 Carrera a few years back and loved it. A great car that is more practical than most think and it drives and handles brilliantly. The main differences between the Carrera and Carrera S is power, suspension and brakes. I found that the standard car has plenty of power, but the Carrera S ha...

Re: OS X Yosemite
Yes on one of my machines, but it's not without issues... I had to reset the PRAM to get rid of the spinning beachball appearing constantly and wi-fi is unstable, constantly dropping connection. Obviously a few bugs still to be worked out, but the other improvements are nice.

Free MOT
I've just taken my car into Guildford OPC for its annual MOT and was very pleasantly surprised to discover it was free! Apparently Porsche Group GB dealerships (Reading, Guildford, Hatfield, West London) offer complimentary MOTs for any Porsche over 4 years old. I thought this might be useful for so...

Spanky's 356 Carrera GS
Fairly sure I saw and, more impressively, heard that car at Heddingham a few years ago now. One of my all time favourite cars.
Very expensive, no doubt!
