Correct Bonnet Position for Cibe Pallas Lamps

I am about to fit a pair of Cibe Pallas Lamps to the bonnet of my 1971 911.
Is there a correct position both fore and aft and left to right? It seems like the best idea to mount in line with the headlights. Need to get this right before I drill the mounting holes!!

Looking at Bridgestone web site, they are two different tread patterns. The S02 comes in 11 different size and aspect ration combinations and is listed for Porsche 993, 996 and Aston Martin DB7. The S02A comes in 8 size and aspect ratio combinations and the application information seems more general...

If you intend to fit a fire extinguisher there is no point in fitting a cheap unit. You need to know that if you have a fire you have something that will work. I would suggest you fit a hand held AFFF unit no less than 1.75 litres. The MSA have a list of extinguisher sizes and types. This they would...

Andrew, If you go for a bolt in cage, I believe Safety Devices do one, you will then have to weld up all the holes and possibly fit new mounting plates to fit a weld in cage later. I swopped my Fabricage bolt in cage from one Midget to another some years ago. Nothing would fit. It was a lot of work....

Andrew, I obtained my front and rear guards from Tuthills. Price was competitive with Prefab when I checked. They work I can vouch for that!! Are you going for a welded in cage or bolt in? My car came with a cage already in, fully welded and nicely formed to suit the door aperture, unlike some I hav...

If you need spares for the Speed Pilot or anything Halda related I recommend you talk to Martin Jubb, alias King Cog.

I have the full excell file which I downlaoded some time ago. This covers all vehicles and gives the number of the applicable papers. There is a link on the Historic Rally Car Register Technical web site but when I tiried it earlier it was not working. But for reference see following link http://www...

It depends on the year of the vehicle. I have a list of FIA numbers and 3025 was dated 1/04/1970 and cover 911S 2.2 and 2.4. You need to look at a particular set of papers to see what additional options were covered.
A 911E/T was listed under 3011 with the same date.

You should be able to purchase a copy through the MSA at Colnbrook. According to their web site the fee is £56.00. Not free but I have found them very helpful in the past. I have been down there and looked through different sets of papers, (non Porsche), before deciding which sets I required to buy....

Interesting, I was put on to the guy that owned this car in November 2008. The owner had done the Pico to Pyrenees event in it and a CV joint had gone. He told me the engine cost £8k with Chris Mannion at Stanstead but made no claims as to power. It was very tatty inside from the photo's I looked at...

Mick, I was in France the first week of the Tour. Managed two days of watching it. The Team trial at Montpellier and the day before just south of Avignon. It is always amazing the stamina of these guys but also the team tactics that are played. Nice to see a Brit so high on the leader board. We were...

As a matter of interest what pressures were you running the tyres at? I will let you know what 6 inch all round feel like after I do the East Anglian in a couple of weeks time!! I looked at putting some spacers on the back but max size allowable is 25mm. (MSA) It means changing the rear studs and if...

Pictures look good. How did you enjoy the event and how did you get on with those 6inch front rims?
Bolted mine on ready for next event and the rears look daft under the wide year arches.
