Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day
I saw the Alfa at Gold Cup, beautiful, but did not realise it was Reg’s old car – penny for his thoughts.

Will be there Saturday and Monday (not on Sunday - I don't think).
Looking forward to it - am I right in thinking the paddock is now open to spectators.

Re: Just a heads-up: Oulton Gold Cup
Sadly giving it a miss this year as it clashes with a rally - Scrutineering / Sign On Saturday event on Sunday.
Not missed one since Coys about '95 if I recall correctly (last year accepted of course)
Enjoy.

Re: Wheels Nuts for Fuchs
Thanks guys For some reason Type 911 were not on my radar! They do have a good selection to choose from, think I will go for the OEM quality and possibly add the soft socket. However is this actually soft (I used to have an Automotion one with a nylon liner which eventually wore out) or just the as ...

Wheels Nuts for Fuchs
Having had my Targa’s Fuchs Wheels restored by MCE I need to add a set of new black wheel nuts. There are two options are far as I can see. 1: Buy from the OPC circa £8.00 each. 2: Buy from a Porsche Specialist £4.20 each (direct not via eBay!!) I am told by one specialist that his are made in the s...

Re: Headlights
I have never really bothered too much about the quality of the lighting on my Targa, it hardly sees daylight let alone darkness (thought I would get that in before 911Hillclimber comments). I did fit some uprate bulbs many years ago. However, on my rally car, mainly through concerns about stressing ...

Cheers Graham
Found a suitable spring, all back together, fitted to my refurbed door and staying where positioned.
Excellent

Durant Door Mirror query
Hi I have just dismantled a Durant door mirror as it was not staying in the set position. From previously fixing this problem on other Durant Mirrors I recall that there is a spring under the adjustment nut to keep the Mirror in tension. Is this correct? This one had 2 slotted nuts fitted – one lock...

Hi Graham
Ditto. Sounds like an earth related issue to me as well.
Good luck in tracing it
