They need to be recovered but would work well and tilt forward to still allow access to the rear seats. Supposedly there is a lady here in the states that can reproduce the o...

Re: MIG upgrade, TIG or Oxy acetylene

Thanks Barry, that helps a lot! I'm going to order up a nice 220V unit with a timer...already got my faithful MIG, a plasma cutter and a shiney new TIG so this seems to be the next logical progression. Thanks for clearing my bank account ;)

Re: MIG upgrade, TIG or Oxy acetylene

Barry,

Regarding the spot welder...how important is it to have a built in timer? Also, do you have different tips for reaching different areas and if so, how many and what sizes?

Thanks for all the great info you contribute to this site, it has helped me A LOT!!!

Great pics Martin! Nice to meet you at Treffen, wish we would have had more time to chat. Had I known about your car, I would have liked to get a close look at it as I just bought a '67S also.

Sounds like a shift linkage adjustment. How are 3rd and 5th? What about reverse? Do all those feel normal? One of these days we are going to have to teach you to turn a wrench.

First gear? Check the shift linkage adjustment in the rear of the center tunnel. That trans if fresh and unless you have been doing some cowboy burnouts, first gear is fine!

Jason, There are some amazing places to see in the NW. You saw Seattle but there is tons to do around here and relatively cheap. Central Oregon has some incredible camping areas and HUGE valcanic lava fields. River rafting can be had almost anywhere. Tons of seaside towns with camping or hotels... C...

Jason, probably good judgement NOT going out on that track! I am proud of you!!! Not sure I would have done the same...I say install some Blizzaks and hit it Walter Rohl style :)

Any pics of the car when you were at the track? Heat work OK?
