Re: 915 trans HEAVY DUTY clutch supplier needed!

Hi Graham, your best bet would be to replace it all with a Helix triple plate clutch or similar. You would have to replace the flywheel as well, but it’s a good fix, we have only reconditioned ours 3 times in 30 seasons competition (including the present rebuild) and spares and replacements are loca...

Re: Frazer Nash/BMW 319

It looks as though you'll have to go to VSCC Wiscombe Park on 12th May then Jeremy!
It's a great event in a beautiful setting - sorry I can't make it this year.

Re: Frazer Nash/BMW 319

Wonderful story Jeremy! I’m glad it all fell into place.
You must take it up to the Bo’ness Revival sometime soon. It’s a great event, and the organisers would welcome you with open arms.

Re: Porsche for sale of the day..........

It does happen all the time, but of course there is no reason for anyone to put in a higher bid if they think that the item isn’t worth it. It cuts both ways!

Check the price from Porsche before you buy, several parts recently have been surprisingly competitive............

Re: Anyone else had this issue?

/\/\/\ What they say!
I would drop the system off, and see which bit rattles. Either gravel, or just as likely a 30 year old silencer falling apart inside.
Alternatively, and cheaper, buy - https://www.screwfix.com/p/3m-1100-37db ... airs/50346

Re: Maddening Running Issue

If it helps to try, I ought to have a fully functioning MFI lift pump that you could borrow available in a couple of weeks' time.
It is from our 2.4S and has been happily supplying the 3.2 short stroke MFI engine in our hillclimb car.
At least it would confirm or rule out the pump.

Cheers

Hi, welcome to DDK!
If you're around on 11/12th May, we hope to be competing at Harewood in our (rather!!!) modified 1972 2.4S.
Sorry to hear of your disasters locally, I hope you get the car sorted soon

Cheers

Probably just to keep the rain out of the engine bay. We have the same problem at wet hillclimb weekends.
