lets look at it this way, you don't have Boge as the spacing is wrong, you don't have Bilsteins as there's no roll pin, ergo you have Koni's that someone blasted and painted black.

Just remeber to get some red paint when you rebuild the suspension!

hmm maybe they've been painted since they were first put on the car? easiest identifier of the bilstein's is indeed a roll pin at the base of the strut, also if you can see the metal ram it should be about 5cm diameter. The boge's will have a smaller diameter ram, only 2cm or so. Koni's I've never s...

is this is your S then they're not going to be Boge as you have S front calipers?

James the spacing on the caliper mountings are different.

Boge = 3" M calipers
Koni and Bilstei 3.5" A and S Calipers

Also some Boge's were blue. And some Bilsteins and Koni's are Yellow
