Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?

I’ve got sport 4s’s on the GT4 - really like them - nice and predictable in the wet or damp unlike the cup2s that it came with which were squirrely as f*ck over anything damp. A bit of phlegm on the road and you’d be wondering what hedge you’d end up in Glad to hear another recommendation for the 4...

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?

Hi All Not strictly what 'I did' or even 'today' but yesterday I collected my 997 C2S ‘Daily’ from having it’s new wheels & tyres fitted, so now while no longer having an early 911 at least the wheels look similar… For those who care about such things the wheels are made by Retro Alloys (in Ital...

Re: Audi TT, any comments?

FWIW if you really want a sports car (and it's as you say 'hard to justify') rather than a small two seat GT, then I'd suggest looking at an S2 (or latter) Elise. After GM's involvement with the VX220/Opel Speedster build quality and reliability improved in 'leaps & bounds'. With a hard top fitt...

Re: Which Tyre??

Hi Jonny
Big Fan of the Brockley 165 X 15 (on my 550 'rep'), surprisingly good in the wet, not that it goes out in the rain that much!

All the best.

Re: Looking for a 550 or 356 Speedster Replica

Hi Andy
I might be able to help, with a few names or people to talk to...
I hate to ask but what sort of budget did you have in mind?

Some very nice cars indeed but I'd love to see the "very original..." 2.8 V6 in this one... :-)

What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?

Hi All
Running a little late with this but MOT'd the Spyder a week ago...
Passed 1st time with no advisories (for the 3rd year in a row).
Happy? You bet I am!

All the best

Re: Chris Harris and the Tuthil 911

Going back a few years now, but didn't Tuthil's build Chris Harris a 911 'resto mod', I seem to recall him wiping around in a green, wide arched, long bonnet car they built..?

Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day

. OK Ian ... The Elite is raw, noisy, involving, exciting – every drive puts a big smile on my face. For me it's everything a sportscar should be with nothing superfluous - but it doesn't like today's poorly-surfaced UK roads On the other hand the Fulvia feels light, airy, effortless (but accomplis...

Hi Andy
Please don't leave us hanging ;-)
What would you say are the differences in their characters?
I had a 64 Alfa Giulia Sprint GT followed by a 73 911T, loved them both but again very different cars.
