Good stuff, glad he's still enjoying the drive. Been getting about more often in my SC this year. Still miss the S though, something special about those cars.

If you're scared of MFI and paying road tax I'd have to question your logic in buying a pre-impact bumper 911 in the first place. What you should be really worried about is rust, particularly with a RHD UK based shell.

Hi Vic, hope you're well. I've always been impressed with Bob, he does a great job for really sensible money. Took my 'new' SC over there last summer and he sorted out a low speed hesitation in minutes that a previous Porsche dealer had been chasing for a couple of years (documented in the history)....

With your budget I'd go for another SC. I think the chrome look was still an option at that time. SCs in good condition are an absolute bargain. Bombproof reliability and quick (especially the later 204hp ones). I wouldn't go near a pre-impact bumper car with a budget under £25K

No but I think they have had this car for sale before. I'm not sure if they sold it then or if it was taken off. I think they sold the white one before as well. Punchy prices in this climate! I don't know why but I get the feeling they don't always show their full stock (I once went to look at a ca...

To be fair if you budgeted mid £30Ks for your CS style 3.2, you would be able to create something that would completely destroy a real CS, which although a very nice car is not exactly a million miles away from a stock 3.2

911SMonster - I agree. I'd probably be better off just waiting for a CS, and it would be cheaper. I'm more looking for the spirit of a CS, something with some weight taken out of it (normally one of the cheapest ways to gain power!) and then tweaks to suspension/ set-up. Won't be doing it until nex...

A CS rep sounds like a great idea. If you go for an exact replica it could end up being quite costly for no particular gain. But if you go for the spirit of a CS i.e reduced weight, slightly more track focused suspension and mild engine tuning it shouldn't cost the earth and be technically as good i...

It's the difference between these prices and dealers prices.......... :x Dealer prices can be very optimistic. Look at the likes of Autofarm, Hairpin Co, Maxted-Page etc. Their cars are usually very nice, but the prices are out of this world! It's a bit like doing your shopping at Harrods. Fine if ...

All I would say is if I was looking at an RS, for the money they're asking, it would have to be faultless in every way. There's absolutely no excuse for things being "wrong" on a £150K+ car.

I'm Peter BTW!

Not bad growth for a year! I've been told that it is very nice but not perfect. The T+S prefers the 'S' to any of the RS's....... BTW. I'm digging a lot of your pics, really good. :) If it sells at that price of course. My wife prefers the look of the 'S' too. You know what, so do I actually...

Hi Pete, So you've sold your lovely 's'? That must've been a wrench.........but does this mean that you are you getting twitchy already? P.S. Shhhhh about the red car, don't want any popstars snaffling it..... Six months ago I wouldn't have countenanced an RS without the scripts, but t...

It looks a bit rough on the photos with paint bubbling up on the bonnet and a missing sill trim. Be slightly afraid! Don't know the car though, so just commenting on what little can be seen in the photos. But it doesn't look great from those.

Edited to be less harsh!
