Nice work. It's cool to watch a car come back from the brink.

I can comment on the damper. I removed the damper from my car to add clearance for an additional brake line going into a new dual circuit master cylinder. 15K miles later I haven't missed it at all.

where did you get the scissor lft from? Looks great. American Automotive Equipment in Texas. Probably cheaper for you to buy local though. http://www.americanautomotiveequipment.com/Motorcycle-ATV-Lifts-p/pmr6xt.htm If you do buy from them, don't pay retail. They have sales all the time. I got mine...

I have a scissor lift and absolutely love it. The only down side is having to park on ramps, but it's to the point now where I can hit them first time every time.

Find another 911 with the same letters and someone who wouldn't mind removing them. Put a piece of low tack masking tape over the holes and mark them and the exact location on the engine cover. It might cost you a 6-pack, but I can't imagine being able to get the letters on straight without a templa...

The battery is 9.25" long, 5" wide, and 8" tall. Die-Hard is Sears' brand of batteries. I've been using them forever and never had a problem. It looks like this http://granitehead.smugmug.com/photos/683800415_CYFMo-L.jpg Here it is with the cover http://granitehead.smugmug.com/photos/...
