Looks good Ian - congratulations!!

Particlarly like the 'stealth' front plate - looks so much better than slapping the sticker on the bonnet - I will be copying this idea

Really sorry to hear that Graham- I can imagine how frustrated you must feeling right now :( I fitted your old Webers to my 914/6 tonight , and had I had a charged battery to hand , would have tried firing it up  Hopefully I will get it running tomorrow , and let you know how they perform on m...

Eiffel tower ?  Of course - glad you asked  - Actually Le Tour Eiffel is an ex-Red Bull Soapbox racer , that I acquired from Ebay last year , and we took down to Lemans in June. Naturally , the first thought was to fit a flat 6 , but after careful measurement a Briggs and Stratton...

Time for an update I think - more progress being made , but still some way to go yet !! Converted an SC tank to centre fill , using Blau cap sourced from Nick Moss , length of 4 inch exhaust pipe , and Stainless dog bowl from Pets at Home  http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee289/mark911...

Hi again Ian I've just read your original post again , and realise what you mean about the caps !! The last couple of cars I did had the caps missing - so my answer above would work. If you have the caps covering the outer ends of the t-bars - pull the plate / t-bar out as far as you can , then fix ...

Hi Ian Basically yes , the torsion bar slides into the splines inside the spring plate. They can get a bit sticky over time , but will push out. You can pull the plate off if you have a short 3 legged puller (you can wind the bolt through the access hole in the rear wing) Alternatively , hold the sp...

Hi Ian I assume you are replacing the bushes on the spring plates ? If so , take the covers off (4 bolts) , then get a pry bar behind the spring plate , and use this to lever the spring plate away from the body - depending how long it is since they were last out , they will either pop right out , or...

RHD Dashtop , Sparkbox and Early 915 Box

Very nice RHD dashtop with no cracks anywhere. The only slight defect is a couple of small indents above the instrument panel area - maybe where fingers have rested over the years? Speaker grille is also excellent , with no splits , just slightly bowed , but easily flattened. Looking for £750 or clo...

Hi Moggy

Saw you twice this afternoon  - (Llanidloes High St , and Derwenlas , just before Mach) . Unfortunately , I was heading in the opposite direction both times , but the car is looking good - and you looked a little cold ??
