I wish I had known nine one one was in Cornwall, just been there since Friday, Helston. As my mother in law lives there I am often down that way. As for the gauge mine reads red hot until ignition is switched on then it goes to the cold side, with the sensor disconnected, as the sensor is definitely...

The gauge was constantly on extreme right I.e. Red hot, when I removed the sensor connection it dropped to left. When checking the sensor I found it to be permanent earth. Perhaps you could tell me when your ignition is off is the gauge showing red hot I.e. On extreme right and when you switch ignit...

Hi Folks Can anyone suggest why when my ignition is off the Oil Temp Gauge is on extreme right (Red section) but when ignition is on it goes to the left (Cold)?
