Sync Link. It's pretty good.neilbardsley wrote:Have a look at James Lipman's restoration thread. He has some fancy cable system. However, what is wrong with the std linkage that most have? I have it on both my 616 motors with weber 40 and all is well.

Agreed. I imagine they would have strapped scaffold-bar skids onto the back of the half-a-Jeep and just driven it away in under 30 minutes.Boydyrs wrote:Would have paid though to see the Bainbridge Bros on this episode together.......they might have been escaped in 2 days.....lol!

It's pronounced 'Winnebago'.
Thought Neil came across excellently (but what else would you expect?).

I can give a DDK tour of Torrance airfield if you want. It's basically a giant classic car storage depot, with an active runway and a few aeroplanes parked around the place.

Re: Anyone got a Bahama Yellow car I can look at
Worth contacting Darren65. He is very particular about colour accuracy. One of his painters did my car and it looks great. Before this, I painted it with the PPG mix and the shade was ugly as hell. https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4404/36581442045_ab81cef928_c.jpg https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4401/3...

Re: Fire Extinguisher options
I didn't want one near my feet, so I fixed a bracket to the cover that goes on the tunnel between the foot wells in the rear. I then cable-tied it in, working on the assumption that if my car caught fire, I could probably find the panicked strength to snap it free.

I just went to Appbiz and they had a really nice one. Has a layer on it that stops the foam degrading into chunks.
I think they may supply to Porsche, but not certain.

It's referred to as 'Tyre Blooming', by the way.

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?
I search for it - there's a compound added to the tyre to protect it against ozone degradation. It leaches out of the rubber and shows brown. You can wipe it off very easily, but it will always come back.
