It must be because we went up the road so fast when we checked it out. I guess I better scrap it. I don't know - half an hour in the car and I have already wrecked it. Some people never learn!

It is now here

My long awaited Targa is finally here. I bought it on the strength of a few pictures in early July and have been rather anxious ever since. I was prepared to be disappointed but am delighted to say that it is really lovely. Everything works well and it is in terrific condition. There were a few thin...

Alan When I saw all the parts that have been powder coated I thought - that sounds fun. I can take things to bits with the best of them. But when I saw your recents photos of bare metal, I remembered what hard dirty noisy work it was getting all the paint off - not so much fun. I assume there is no ...

Wow Alan I wish I had talked to you before I sold it. I am still emotionally attached to that car. It is great that you are fixing it so quickly. I remember looking unsuccessfully on the net for the Babysham girl so I am pleased you found a picture of her. Have you any pictures of the welding? Do yo...

Barry - did you manage to pay for the arch liners COD or did you have to set up a bank transfer? Arch liners seem to me to be a really good idea. All the Swedish made cars have them and they do not seem to rust despite the snow and presumably salt. I am surprised everyone hasn't fitted them. As far ...

Ian The reason I was particularly interested was that I too have bought through Francis - although mine is still in California awaiting a boat. Mine also has the rubber over-riders and us spec lights - that I want to lose in favour of the European ones. Did you get them (Tuthills) to do the waxoylin...

It looks really nice.
I saw it in the barn some time ago and thought about it for a while. at the time I was looking for one with a sunroof.
Were the back bumpers changed? I remember there being the big rubber ones on the front but cannot remember the back.
What it like? Are you happy with it?

It is nice to see the pictures as it was dark by the time I got there.
The pictures show some uniformly interesting registration numbers? I must investigate this technology.
Thank you all for being so welcoming.

I was not very inspired by black stuff either so it is good to know that it can be clear as well. Nick - Having learnt from your web site about California cars rusting from the inside out, I was rather anxious to get the waxoyl (or whatever) to the inside where the rust might be lurking. Hence my se...

911 - rust prevention

I was looking for someone to waxoyl a 911 and was hoping to find someone who could do the box sections under pressure. I found these two companies - both within reach of London. Before'n'After (Newbury) Rustmaster (Hertfordshire near Luton) (both '.co.uk' - but I added no links as I thought that mig...
