Check the flexible hoses for condition too, they can collapse and swell internally which means the calipers can't release. Of course a caliper strip and clean is a cheap if messy job. I would be very surpried if you could get a reliable 204HP out of a 2276cc

1766cc will give about 90HP. What about the torque curve.

To get that sort of power and a reliable engine you are talking serious money. I'd rebuild my 616 first.
