Re: Lotus: a new emergence or a damp squib?

Re: Selling via Collecting Cars auction ...

Fair enough. If you haven’t already spoken to them, talk to Lionel Abbott to consign, former touring car ace and general old school nice guy. My only other comment is that Silverstone will take 21% out of the deal, Collecting Cars 6%, so Silverstone need to get you 15% more just to get you the same...

Re: Selling via Collecting Cars auction ...

I sold a couple of my cars on CC recently. Very easy, no fuss, no waiting around for people who don't turn up to view, etc. As someone else said, their rep' is on the phone to encourage you to reduce the reserve if it looks like the sale isn't going to happen, however as they only get paid if a car ...

Re: A small insight to insuring my Boxster today.

I wonder whether they’ll do the same for mortgages. My fixed rate with NatWest ends in November. If I do nothing and go on to the rolling rate it doubles from 1.8% to 3.7% If I go direct to NatWest to sort a new deal they’ll fix it for 5 years at 1.4% If I go through a broker I’ll get 5 years fixed...
